Tread Softly

Not going to lie, I'm not excellent — but I have aspirations of being great. So remember me a few years down the line. |

Immortal Immorality

Immorality will forever be immortal:

Because without Bad there would be no Good,
Adversely, without Good there would be no Bad

And how does Good feel, knowing that without Bad there can be no Good,
And how does Bad feel knowing it is just the absence of Good; a tainted corruption?

And how does Good feel, knowing how easy it is to succumb to Bad,
And how does Bad feel, knowing it cannot last forever?

And how does Good feel, knowing that it cannot live without Bad,
And how does Bad feel, knowing it cannot live without Good?

And when a person is placed into the equation,
How can they deal;

Walking the fine line between Good and Bad,
Treading softly:
Sometimes slipping off the path,
Sometimes remaining;
Sometimes getting back on the path,
Sometimes remaining

And Good and Bad abide:
Coming and going,
Being fed from temptations and inclinations,
From thoughts and actions,
From empathy, sympathy, and apathy

And Good and Bad persist:
Moral and Immoral, always there —
Universal, never-ending, equivocally, irrevocably, solid and intangible Truth

And Good and Bad both prevail:
The last things standing in a dead encompassment
Because:
            Without Bad there would be no Good,
            Adversely, without Good there would be no Bad
And so they will stay locked together:
Always fighting;
Battles will be won and lost,
But the war will never end

No one will remain supreme, no one will be called The Victor,
Because people are people and animals are animals and good is good and bad is bad but Good comes from Bad and Bad falls from Good and…

As long as anything livingbreathingthinkingfeeling  survives,
War will always rage between Good and Bad ―
And so while none will reign,
Good may remain,
And Bad will not wane,
Immorality will forever be immortal —
            Enduring amongst Morality
